This blog post by a friend has got me thinking. Actually, I've been thinking about some of these issues for a while now. How safe is blogging, really? What do you think? How cautious should you be with names, locations, pictures, your opinions, etc.?
The tracker on the right won't be there forever, just a wee bit longer. I'd like to get an idea of who is accessing my blog. Hopefully all friends and no foes.
I'm tempted to even take a roll call and ask everything who checks this blog to leave a comment, just this once, so I know who you are. Roll call anyone?

Hey. Jenny S. here. I'm the one in Boise-I'm on vacation!
I'm in Price Utah right now so I am checking in to say here! I have been thinking about going private with my blog but who knows!
Here here. Sorry I've gotten everyone up in arms.
PS- I would definately get rid of your cutie nudie pics of little girl a few days ago.
oooops, I just looked back and I think you did :)
I check your blog...and we've been having the same discussion at our house for the last month...
yeah, that's the main reason my last name isn't in my blog, but that's not a sure safe-all is it...
Hey, Lori. I think "my many coloured days" has definitely gotten us all thinking. I guess, in general, trying to be cautious about giving out last names, addresses, and so forth is clearly a priority. And clearly, after hearing others' experiences, I will no longer be posting bathtime/swimming pics because of perverts out there. But I also think there is risk in so much of what we do, that to be one of millions of bloggers out there on the web doesn't seem any more risky than giving out your social security number when applying for a credit card or letting your kids play in the backyard while you're cooking dinner inside. Yes, bad things can happen to anyone. After we've tried to be generally smart and cautious, then it's probably best to just let the worry go and enjoy life.
I'm a little late, but here! Plus I'm in Georgia ... I think everything's a little slower here than the rest of the country. That's it - I'm blaming it on Georgia.
I was the Arlington, Virginia one- because I accessed your blog from work :)
I look at your blog! Just wanted to let ya know!
