Sleep Help

I'm needing some tips and reminders for how to help a newborn to sleep. Elise tends to do well at night but during the day and early evening is another story. She'll fall asleep and then wake up way too soon (like 15 minutes). I do my best to make sure her needs are met (dry, fed, burped, etc.) but am not having the best of luck.

What has worked for you?

When in doubt, I recommend "The Happiest Baby on the Block". I know the author highly recommends swaddling for the first few months as a way to help a baby sleep longer. I know some babies don't care for it. Maybe Elise is getting to an age where she doesn't needs quite as many naps. A brand new baby sleeps almost all the time, it seems, so maybe she's finally ready to really wake up and interact a little more. Good luck! Parenting always throws new challenges at you.
