Garage Sale Bargains

Some things I don't mind paying full-price for - but most of the time, I like to get a GOOD DEAL! I found this Little Tykes table at a garage over the weekend for $10. It's in great condition and I thought Ava would like it. (I also found some Little People toys.) Yay for Garage Sales!

The table has been great. Yesterday, I was able to sit and read at my table (which I do projects on including scrapbooking), while Ava read books at her table. Then, in the evening, she sat and colored (with the Crayola twistable, erasable crayons - Thanks Camie & Lydia for the birthday gift), for a while so that Chris and I could "figure out" dinner. Usually, she's pulling at my leg and whining for attention when we're trying to make dinner.

I think this will be my new distraction for her around dinner time. I'll have to be careful though because the second I took her away from her drawing (to change a stinky diaper), she screamed bloody murder so I let her bring a crayon with us.

Ava is entering her Toddler-Indpendence stage. We're in trouble!

Great table Lori!! You could also use it if you have other kids over to dinner so everyone can eat at the kids table! OR as a great picnic table outside. Good find! Glad you are enjoying coloring. Lydia is doing a lot of coloring right now too.

Ok, I have a mommy secret that nobody bothered to tell me, so I'm going to make sure you know about it. The Terrible Twos start WAY BEFORE they actually turn two! So now you might understand when her behavior becomes a little more "naughty!" Love the table!

Great deal! Those Little Tykes things can be pricey, but they're great garage sale finds. Nate has a little table in the kitchen, and he loves to have friends over for dinner.

What a great deal! Garage sales can really get you some good finds. Way to go. Ava looks so grown-up coloring at the table.
